Rental Car Insurance, What Is It: 1

auto-leasesHave you been dying to go on that vacation and you have been saving up all of your pennies for it?  If this describes you and you are waiting to rent that awesome car, you might want to do a little research before you sign your name to that paperwork.  Rental car insurance is something that many people do not think about but they should, for it is very important.

While most of the time, auto insurance coverage really depends on exactly what type of coverage you are paying for – rental car insurance is a little bit different.  You are basically only going to be paying for the car insurance the time that you are in the car and that’s it.

However – what does rental car insurance include and what does it usually cost?  Those questions and more will be answered in the next couple blogs!

Preparing for Thanksgiving Travel: 3

roadSaving money is something that everyone wants to do – especially during the holidays.  I can tell you that by traveling by car versus plane this Thanksgiving, you are going to be saving a lot of money … however, gas prices are still expensive right now and you certainly want to make sure that you budget for that.

One handy tool that I have found that works is using mapquest.com and the fuel calculator – I can tell you that it really does work!  Just calculate how much money you are going to need even before you leave and make sure that you save a little more than that just in case and you should be all set!

Keeping to your budget is a great way to ensure that you not only save some cash but that you will have fun and be less stressed during the holidays!

For example, if you are not able to leave really early on Wednesday, you should wait for after rush hour.  The reason?  Because the roads will be packed and I can tell you that when there is traffic, you are certainly going to be stressed out.

In the next blog, we are going to talk about money and how you can save some when you are on a road trip!

Some Tips That Will Help You Avoid A Car Accident: 3

INTERSTATE PILEUPAlright, we have touched on a few different topics in regards to car accidents.  Face it, being in a car accident is definitely scary and can really mess up your life if it is bad enough.  That is why you want to make sure that you drive as safely as possible and make sure that you pay attention to every little thing.  That is our next tip – pay attention.

While you might think it is a good thing to be on your cell phone while you are driving, that is actually another distraction that you should be able to do without.  You also want to make sure that you leave a safe distance between your car and other cars.

While I know that I like to be right on the tail of most cars – I have learned over the years that, that is not the right way to drive.

Some Tips That Will Help You Avoid A Car Accident: 2

caraccidentNot drinking and driving is obviously not the only way you can avoid a car accident – there are many other ways too.  Did you know that if you have a lot of distractions in the car, you are most likely going to get into a car accident?  For real!  So if you minimize your distractions while you are trying, that is honestly going to minimize your risk of getting into a car accident.

Next, always make sure that you properly maintain your car.  If you get a tune up and take note of the monthly tire condition of your car, I can promise that you are going to not only drive safer, but your car will be safer.

Next, do not encourage those who are aggressive drivers – while you might want to, it can really get you into an accident and that wouldn’t be good.  More tips in the next blog!
