Rental Car Insurance, What Is It: 3

private cars on the roadOkay, so you are an expert on rental car insurance now huh?  Let me just go ahead and move on into how much this particular car insurance might cost you know.  Now – there are a ton of different prices out there and honestly, rental car insurance is not going to be cheap for it does cover you, everyone else in the car and the car itself.

However, you may be able to get a downgraded rental car insurance quote just by shopping around.  Some companies offer limited coverage on rental car insurance at a lower cost, so that might be an option.

Car insurance is important – I can tell you that, especially when you are dealing with rental cars.

Rental Car Insurance, What Is It: 2

car_insuranceNow that we have talked a little bit about what rental car insurance truly is, let’s go ahead and make sure that you know exactly what is covered in this particular car insurance.  The first thing that you need to know is that your car insurance will cover you as well as the people in the car – as well as the car itself.

Rental car insurance is actually the best car insurance out there and that is why it costs so much.  However, when you are purchasing rental car insurance, you always want to make sure that you read the policy fully to know exactly what you might be responsible for.

For example, if the car is stolen or needed to be repaired, that might be covered in the rental car insurance.

Rental Car Insurance, What Is It: 1

auto-leasesHave you been dying to go on that vacation and you have been saving up all of your pennies for it?  If this describes you and you are waiting to rent that awesome car, you might want to do a little research before you sign your name to that paperwork.  Rental car insurance is something that many people do not think about but they should, for it is very important.

While most of the time, auto insurance coverage really depends on exactly what type of coverage you are paying for – rental car insurance is a little bit different.  You are basically only going to be paying for the car insurance the time that you are in the car and that’s it.

However – what does rental car insurance include and what does it usually cost?  Those questions and more will be answered in the next couple blogs!

Preparing for Thanksgiving Travel: 3

roadSaving money is something that everyone wants to do – especially during the holidays.  I can tell you that by traveling by car versus plane this Thanksgiving, you are going to be saving a lot of money … however, gas prices are still expensive right now and you certainly want to make sure that you budget for that.

One handy tool that I have found that works is using mapquest.com and the fuel calculator – I can tell you that it really does work!  Just calculate how much money you are going to need even before you leave and make sure that you save a little more than that just in case and you should be all set!

Keeping to your budget is a great way to ensure that you not only save some cash but that you will have fun and be less stressed during the holidays!

Preparing for Thanksgiving Travel: 2

road_tripsNow that we have talked about time management, let’s go ahead and discuss how you should start your trip off.  You want to make sure that you do not rush yourself.  Seriously, the holidays are something that very, very stressful and when you are going on a road trip, you do not want to add more stress to the holidays.

For example, if you are not able to leave really early on Wednesday, you should wait for after rush hour.  The reason?  Because the roads will be packed and I can tell you that when there is traffic, you are certainly going to be stressed out.

In the next blog, we are going to talk about money and how you can save some when you are on a road trip!
